Brooke joined some of the world’s top equestrians at this year's Your Horse Live at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire from Saturday 11 – Sunday 12 November 2017, raising a massive £4,800.
Every day, around 400 donkeys in Kenya are being killed for their skins. Many are stolen from their owners, often overnight, and their hide is shipped off to be used for traditional remedies overseas.
A recent survey conducted for Brooke has found that the UK public are largely unaware of how many horses died in the First World War, despite the fact the majority (80%) knew that horses were used in the conflict.

Brooke global ambassador Charlotte DuJardin CBE was due to visit Ethiopia to see the charity’s work in October, however due to unforeseen security risks the trip has been cancelled. She was going to be accompanied by fellow elite dressage rider Alice Oppenheimer.
Brooke is excited to launch its 2017 Brooke Shop, featuring virtual gifts and Christmas cards with proceeds going directly to help improve the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules in developing countries.
After a busy weekend of events and fundraising at Osberton International Horse Trials, Brooke are delighted to announce it has raised over £1000 to continue its work improving the lives of millions of the world’s most vulnerable horses, donkeys and mules.
