Double Olympic gold medallist joins Brooke team in India
World dressage champion and Global Ambassador for Brooke, Charlotte Dujardin, has joined Brooke team in India to witness first-hand the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules in the region.
Charlotte, who is being joined by fellow dressage rider Alice Oppenheimer, will visit rural women’s projects, equine welfare units, market traders and equine-owning families to learn about Brooke’s work to protect working horses, donkeys and mules and the livelihoods of the millions of people who rely on them to earn a basic living.
Brooke provides direct veterinary treatment and community programmes around animal health and well-being as well as working with governments and policy makers to make a lasting change for working horses, donkeys and mules. This trip will be a chance for Charlotte to experience this personally and help spread the word of Brooke’s work to her thousands of fans around the world.
Charlotte has stunned the equestrian world with her dressage successes, winning the European and World Championships as well as the London Olympics, and has recently been shortlisted for the Sunday Times and Sky Sports Sportswoman of the Year award again, after winning last year. Brooke could not be prouder to have Charlotte as their Global Ambassador.
Brooke will be providing live updates throughout the trip via Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #BrookeMeetsCharlotte.
