Research Coordintor (Maternity Cover)
Research is an integral part of Brooke’s work, contributing to a robust evidence base through identifying and resolving research questions that address the most important issues faced by the animals and their owners every day. Brooke research results in more effective programming for working equids and communities, including evidencing advocacy and policy asks. Brooke research is multidisciplinary, encompassing epidemiology, social science, economics and animal welfare.
This exciting position will play a key role in ensuring that employees throughout the international offices are able to access support for research projects, as well as for providing strategic oversight for organisational research. It sits within a passionate, dedicated and intelligent international team.
In order to excel in this post you will need a higher degree in animal health /welfare, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills and experience in managing and supporting applied research projects, preferably overseas. You will be a team player with an emphasis on collaboration and be passionate about facilitating others’ to succeed.

Senior Supporter Contact Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supporter Care or Customer Service professional to join our high performing Supporter Contact Team at Brooke. You will co-ordinate the daily priorities for the Supporter Contact Team, take the lead on training and ensuring the team have up to date briefs and other information, and be the key liaison with the Community Fundraising Team. You will engage with and steward both existing and potential supporters; always with a view to providing a first class donor experience whilst also seeking to retain and increase support of Brooke.
You will be joining a busy team, working very closely with your immediate colleagues as well as the Donation and Fulfilment, Community Fundraising and Direct Marketing teams to ensure excellent Supporter Care at every stage, for every supporter who interacts with us.
You will have significant experience of working within a Supporter Care or Customer Services team in a supervisory or team leader position, able to communicate effectively with different audiences via various channels and be able to demonstrate a passion for Brooke’s cause and talk confidently about our operational work. You can motivate a team, and make independent decisions about priorities.
You will need to be able to multitask effectively, and remain calm and professional when dealing with complex queries and complaints and support others to do so. You need to be suited to both working reactively to changing demands on the team but also be able to plan ahead to ensure team resources are used efficiently by working closely with the Supporter Contact Manager.

Senior Regional Fundraising Officer (South West of England and Wales) Maternity Cover
This is a superb opportunity for an experienced community/ regional fundraiser to join our dynamic team for 12 months. We are looking for a proactive candidate with experience of working with individuals, volunteer fundraising groups, organisations and regional or local businesses to achieve great results. In addition the role will be responsible for organising fundraising events, marketing campaigns and securing legacy enquiries and pledges, with the primary function of driving the greatest net income for Brooke.
We are looking for someone who will be comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision but part of a wider team to achieve the optimum outcome for Brooke -someone with a can-do attitude and a solution focussed approach in tackling challenges.
Working from home, with support from Head Office in London, this role will be responsible for managing 10 volunteer regional fundraising groups in the South West of England and Wales, recruiting new volunteer fundraisers and groups in the region (especially Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset), as well as spotting new opportunities for growth and maximising income. You will be working closely with the newly formed volunteer events committee to deliver the Spring Soiree, a Special Event in Exeter in March 2020. You will be well supported to achieve agreed annual income targets by organising and co-ordinating regular local campaigns and fundraising activities and events, proactively seeking new supporters, creating opportunities for current supporters and establishing and maintaining relationships with key contacts – including volunteers, speakers, schools, businesses and fundraising group leaders.
You will need to live in the South West of England, be able to work from home, travel to Head office in London when required and be flexible to work outside conventional office hours including weekends. The ability to travel within the region is essential along with good access to the internet.
