Learning & Development Manager

Following an in-depth review last year of our global Learning & Development (L&D) provision, we are now looking to recruit a very experienced L&D Manager with both a UK and International remit. Reporting into the Head of HR as part of a UK team of six, this is a London-based dual strategic and operational role which you need to juggle comfortably between.

One of your priorities this year will be the development of an L&D Strategy in line with Brooke’s global plan to help set the direction of Brooke learning across both the UK and our country programmes. You will also bring your practical experience and development of an LMS and e-learning to grow our Brooke Learning Platform organisationally and facilitate both global capacity building and help deliver our global compliance projects e.g. safeguarding.

You will skilfully manage our UK L&D operation including the annual appraisal process (staff training, analysis, Brooke UK annual L&D plan), management training programmes, on-site training events and any coaching or facilitation required so expect to multi-task.

This is a senior role where real gravitas and professionalism is a must– you understand the business challenges of working in an international NGO and how to work intelligently within a dynamic international context. You have a natural empathy with Brooke’s programmatic work - of which we are proud - and can engage creatively across a diverse range of staff and skillsets.

This role will also involve infrequent international travel (up to three times a year on average).

Please send CVs  and a one-page supporting statement to Julia Porter, Head of HR.
