Administrator - Strategy and Performance Directorate (part-time)

We are looking for an experienced and proactive administrator to provide key support to our dynamic and dedicated Programmes and Planning and Performance Directorates.

The role has three key responsibilities: taking responsibility for the smooth running of team logistics; ensuring business processes are completed in an accurate, timely and cost efficient manner and to assist with the improvement of information management, systems and processes.

This role is part time, working 16 hours per week, (Mon-Thur 9-1pm.)

You will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills and have a proven track record of supporting a team under time pressure.

Interpersonal and communication skills are a key requirement of this role, as you will be a main point of contact for the departments, liaising regularly with other UK colleagues and overseas contacts.

You will need to be flexible to the adapting needs of the team and able to work with a diverse range of team members.

You will need to have a calm, positive, solution focused attitude and the ability to show initiative and work independently when required.

Legacy Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Legacy team at Brooke. You will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering the legacy strategy for Brooke. The Legacy team is responsible for stewarding legacy pledges and administering bequests to the organisation which currently delivers £11m net. The team has a new strategy which looks to drive legacy growth in income over the next five years and we’re looking for dynamic hands-on manager to take the programme to the next level, making the most of internal and external opportunities to achieve great results.

We are looking for a strong legacy expert with extensive experience in legacy stewardship, fundraising and administration. You must have a proven track record in building stewardship programmes across teams with direct personal experience in donor stewardship.

Senior Direct Marketing Officer (Acquisition and Welcome)

We’re recruiting for a varied and interesting campaign management role in a supportive and dedicated direct marketing team. Your focus will be on delivering successful supporter recruitment and welcome campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, digital, face to face and DRTV. You’ll have the chance to bring your enthusiasm and experience to both established programmes and innovative new products.

Your main responsibilities will include implementing a programme of new welcome mailings, developing digital welcome communications, project managing the development of new acquisition products, monitoring and reporting on performance, assisting with budgeting and forecasting and managing relationships with external suppliers.

We’re looking for a proactive, driven fundraiser with a solid grounding in direct mail and ideally face to face, DRTV and digital. Organised, thorough and brilliant with Excel, you’ll be an experienced campaign manager who can work independently to deliver great results.

A people person who will build positive relationships across the organisation and manage suppliers effectively, you’re also a problem solver with the flexibility to cope with change and competing priorities.

Senior Legacy Officer (Administration)

Legacy income is vital to Brooke, funding nearly two-thirds of our work. Our Senior Legacy Officer’s role in administering legacies is key to maintaining and building that income.  You will manage a case load of residuary and contentious legacies, as well as overseeing and guiding the Legacy Officer’s work on their caseload. Working closely with the Legacy Manager and colleagues working on legacy fundraising, you will help promote legacy awareness, so that we continue to build legacy income. 

You’ll need to demonstrate real competence in legacy administration for charities and have an appropriate legal, ILM or STEP qualification.  Matching that with communication skills that will enhance our work with executors and supporters, you will also demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in your work.  An understanding of legacy marketing and how legacy administrators and fundraisers can work together is highly desirable.  We value people who demonstrate that they can self-manage, plan and organise their work, and respond well in an organisation that is developing fast.
