Senior Supporter Contact Officer            

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supporter Care or Customer Service professional to join our high performing Supporter Contact Team at Brooke.  You will co-ordinate the daily priorities for the Supporter Contact Team, take the lead on training and ensuring the team have up to date briefs and other information, and be the key liaison with the Community Fundraising Team. You will engage with and steward both existing and potential supporters; always with a view to providing a first class donor experience whilst also seeking to retain and increase support of Brooke.

You will be joining a busy team, working very closely with your immediate colleagues as well as the Donation and Fulfilment, Community Fundraising and Direct Marketing teams to ensure excellent Supporter Care at every stage, for every supporter who interacts with us.

You will have significant experience of working within a Supporter Care or Customer Services team in a supervisory or team leader position, able to communicate effectively with different audiences via various channels and be able to demonstrate a passion for Brooke’s cause and talk confidently about our operational work. You can motivate a team, and make independent decisions about priorities.

You will need to be able to multitask effectively, and remain calm and professional when dealing with complex queries and complaints and support others to do so.  You need to be suited to both working reactively to changing demands on the team but also be able to plan ahead to ensure team resources are used efficiently by working closely with the Supporter Contact Manager.

Global Community Development Advisor 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brooke family in the role of Community Development Advisor at a time when the organization is evolving to focus on strengthening linkages with human development priorities to ensure greater sustainable impact for both animals and people. The Community Development Advisor post will act as a catalyst for change within the organisation: challenging, inspiring, guiding, and building the capacity of the organization to both strengthen the strategic linkages of our work to improve equine welfare with improving the livelihoods and well-being of equine owning communities, and affect human behaviour change to promote and sustain equine welfare improvements. Sustainable community development, strategic community engagement, and mainstreaming gender equality throughout our programme activities are critically important to our programmatic success, and comprise the core focus of work for this role.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience planning and implementing sustainable community development projects using participatory approaches within an international development context. You will need excellent facilitation and training skills, as well as strong analytical skills to be able to synthesize, use, and effectively promote understanding of complex information for learning and action across a diverse range of audiences and cultural contexts. You will possess excellent leadership skills, with the capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, to inspire and motivate change. Excellent inter-personal skills, including listening and communication, tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and patience are essential qualities for fulfilling this position.

Software Developer (Contractor)

In this exciting contract role, you work within a project team and have daily contact with dev manager and other stake holders in order to guarantee the success of the projects you are assigned to.

The key Skills that will be required are:

  • Minimum of 5 years web development which must have been gained within a commercial environment using Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience of handling large data business applications.
  • Fully experienced in creating micro services architecture, and have developed within all 3 tiers, especially middle tiers.
  • Solid knowledge of the following technologies:  C#, MVC, Dot Core, Docker Containers, OOPS, ORM Connectors, LINQ, T-SQL, Web API, OAuth 2.0 and SQL Server 2008.
  • Some exposure to Linux terminal and Containerized infrastructure would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and familiar with iterative development methodologies.
