Brooke calls on social media users to take action and raise awareness of working equines

Equestrian YouTube star This Esme, author Hannah Russell and Capital FM DJ Aimee Vivian are urging Instagram users to join Brooke’s influencer army of #BrookeChampions to raise vital awareness of working horses, donkeys and mules.

Brooke needs to raise awareness of who we are and what we do, and one way we can do this is through our amazing supporters on Instagram. This way, we can reach potentially thousands more people and raise awareness of the huge contribution that working animals make around the world.

Social media is a big part of my life and I’m a strong believer in the power of using it for good. From my trip to see Brooke’s work in Senegal two years ago, to my many MyHackathon journeys, I’ve always been keen to bring my followers along with me for the ride. I’m really pleased to be part of the network of #BrookeChampions and can’t wait to see the difference we can make in raising awareness of working horses, donkeys and mules around the world.

By pledging to become a #BrookeChampion, supporters will have access to key messages, exclusive photos, fun facts and videos to share with their followers, spreading the message of Brooke’s work far and wide. Additionally, each month Brooke will select Influencers of the Month to highlight the #BrookeChampions who’ve gone above and beyond to raise awareness of working equines among their followers.

Having visited Kenya in 2019, I’ve seen first-hand the huge difference Brooke is making to the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules and their owners. These animals don’t have a voice on the world stage, which is why it’s so important that we speak up for them. As such, I’m excited to harness the power of social media and team up with like-minded users to pledge to raise awareness of Brooke’s work and the vital contribution these animals make to communities all over the world.

I’m really pleased to be joining my fellow #BrookeChampions in raising vital awareness of working horses, donkeys and mules around the world. As an animal lover, I think it’s so important that we give a voice to those who can’t speak up for themselves and use our platforms to make the world a better place.

There are currently around 100 million horses, donkeys and mules working to support the lives of 600 million people in some of the poorest parts of the world. It is Brooke’s mission to transform the lives of these animals and relieve their immediate suffering.
