Get started with MyHackathon

Follow our five steps to get started with MyHackathon and raising your £100 for Brooke.

1. Tell us

Sign up to MyHackathon to let us know you are taking part.

2. Create a JustGiving fundraising page

A really quick and easy way to get your fundraising started is to set-up a JustGiving fundraising page. Adding a photo and personalised message about Brooke and your motivation to take part in MyHackathon will help inspire others to sponsor you. If you collect all of your money online, you don’t need to do anything else. It automatically comes straight to Brooke.

If you are collecting your money using a sponsorship form (PDF, 180kb), you can send your money in different ways.

3. Track your miles

If you have a smart phone, there are loads of apps you can download to help you reach your daily target. Have a look in your app store to find the best one for you. We have also provided a tracking sheet to help you log your miles.

4. Social media

Share a picture of yourself out riding along with a link to your fundraising page. Let people know how many miles you have done on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #myhackathon.

5. Promote

Help promote the hackathon challenge by putting posters and leaflets in your local stables, cafes, vets and workplace.
