- Nearly 800 people have died since June
- Flashfloods and landslides have caused the deaths of over 5,500 animals
- Over 4,000 houses have been destroyed and 1,400 villages are under water

Our impact in Pakistan
“We are working around the clock to keep Pakistan’s working horses, donkeys and mules alive during this devastating crisis. These animals are the heartbeat of rural families - without them, people lose their ability to earn an income and put food on the table.” - Dr Javed Iqbal Gondal, CEO of Brooke Pakistan
Brooke Pakistan is the largest equine organisation in Pakistan. We have been working in the country for over 30 years, in over 1,000 communities, improving the direct health and welfare of 96,510 animals and 85,099 people.
We also have a long history of responding to natural disasters in Pakistan, providing relief during the 2005 earthquake and devastating floods of 2010, 2014 and 2022.
