Flavia, Scott and Annette gave festive readings at Brooke’s carol concert, hosted at the Royal Military Chapel (or the Guards’ Chapel) in Westminster on 8 December 2025.

Two donkeys, Pixie and Kiska, greeted guests outside the chapel, followed by a performance from the Guards’ Chapel Choir.

Strictly star Flavia Cacace wished Brooke supporters a merry Christmas.

It was a real privilege to be part of this beautiful carol service and to support Brooke’s vital work.

Dr Scott Miller

Dr Scott Miller said: "As a vet, I’ve seen first-hand how much working animals endure, often without access to even the most basic care.

“This Christmas, I hope people will take a moment to reflect on their incredible resilience and help Brooke give them the care and dignity they deserve.”

Flavia Cacace said, addressing supporters: “Thank you so much for supporting Brooke and all its wonderful work.

“I wish you a very merry Christmas.”

The Guards’ Chapel Choir gave a heartwarming performance for Brooke supporters.

Sharing this festive evening with Brooke was truly heart-warming.

This Christmas, we ask people to reflect on the hardworking horses, donkeys and mules who are the backbone of communities worldwide.

Brooke's CEO, Chris Wainwright

Every day around the world, thousands of hard-working donkeys, horses and mules toil tirelessly to transport Christmas goods like chocolate and gold.

Brooke’s 2025 Christmas Appeal highlights how these loyal animals suffer terribly because they often have little access to water, food or shade.

Brooke’s CEO, Chris Wainwright, said: "We are so grateful to all that attended to give their support on this very special evening.

“This Christmas, we ask people to reflect on the hardworking horses, donkeys and mules who are the backbone of communities worldwide – quietly transporting goods that we as consumers take for granted...

“Money raised from Brooke’s Christmas carol service will help to give these animals a life of respect and compassion.”
