If there was ever a year that reflected the breadth and reach of our work – and why your support is so vital to us – this was it.
Our supporters’ amazing response to our Pakistan Flood Appeal enabled us to deliver emergency relief to thousands of animals and entire communities in desperate need.
While we’ve also made more progress on an issue Brooke has been campaigning on for around 10 years: ending the barbaric donkey skin trade.
The really encouraging update is that a well-attended conference of African nations in Côte d’Ivoire agreed to adopt a new strategy to protect donkeys, which includes implementing the ban we achieved together in February 2024.
Your consistent support is so critical to making sure this happens because you give us the confidence and resources to continue the fight on behalf of the donkeys.
Another project we are working on right now is improving the hard lives of animals used in the Tanzania Gold Mines. The condition of most of these donkeys and the conditions they are working in is heartbreaking.
