The effort, dedication and skill of our staff and volunteers, and the commitment of our supporters are helping us achieve our vision of a world in which working horses, donkeys and mules are free from suffering.
Brooke's global network covers India, Pakistan, with extensive operations in East and West African countries, as well as Egypt and Jordan. We also work with local organisations in Afghanistan, Nepal, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, Peru and Mexico. Brooke USA and Brooke Netherlands raise vital funds for many of our programmes.
Brooke in the UK is governed by its Board of Trustees. The Trustees are all volunteers who give their time, energy and expertise to make sure that the charity is well-managed, that its activities remain focused on achieving its vision and mission and that it abides by its charitable objectives.
Our Trustees appointed Petra Ingram as Chief Executive in 2009. The Chief Executive, with the support of the Senior Leadership Team, is responsible for managing the organisation of Brooke’s international programmes, resources, communications and fundraising.
There are more than 900 people delivering Brooke activities around the world. Volunteers also play a crucial role in our work, either helping in our offices or raising awareness and funds to help us make a bigger difference.
