VACANCIES IN OUR 'PLANNING & PERFORMANCE' DIRECTORATE

This Spring, the Brooke will launch its ambitious new five-year global strategy following a sustained period of outstanding growth in improving the health and wellbeing of working horses, donkeys and mules across the world. We have achieved this by engaging effectively with communities for better welfare, treatment and veterinary services and through the successful lobbying of key global players to change policy and practice for the mutual benefit of both the animals and their owners – the millions of people whose livelihoods depend on them. We are now actively recruiting for talented individuals who can bring their professional expertise to a growing organisation which prides itself on being a leading animal welfare INGO operating across a growing number of countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. 

As part of the global ambition of the Brooke, a new Planning & Performance directorate is being established. The purpose of it is to provide the necessary tools, guidance and performance management framework for the Brooke to meet its responsibilities and demonstrate accountability to stakeholders, including individual donors and funders, by evidencing our impact and learning. This will encompass design, necessary testing, training and communication to ensure smooth implementation of planning and performance processes across all UK Directorates and our Country Programmes.  

We have the following four exciting new roles available: 

Head of Performance and Evaluation

Salary: £52,000

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Performance, this is a senior management post that will deliver a robust organisation performance framework to monitor and report on the performance of the Brooke against our strategic goals.  It is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the processes of quality assurance and accountability of Brooke to its stakeholders.

Project Lead (Effectiveness Framework)  

Salary: £46,377

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Performance, this post will co-ordinate a robust development and implementation plan for the Effectiveness Framework, our organisational wide approach to monitor and report on the impact of our Theory of Change and organisational strategies.  The Effectiveness Framework has been developing over 4 years and now needs a co-ordinated project approach to expedite its completion to become business as usual within the Brooke.

Project Management Advisor

Salary: £38,800

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Performance, this post is key to a consistent project management methodology being embedded across the organisation. It is an exciting opportunity to ensure that activities are planned and delivered in line with the organisation’s goals and strategic objectives.

Performance and Reporting Officer

Salary: £31,404

Reporting to the Head of Performance and Evaluation, this is a key technical post that will support the development of a robust organisation performance framework that will monitor and report on the performance of the Brooke against our strategic goals.  It is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strengthened quality assurance and the accountability of Brooke to its stakeholders.

Major Relationships Manager (Grants)

This is a permanent role within the Major Relationships team - a successful and growing part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. This is an exciting time for this role with a new Global Strategy and Brand due to be launched in 2016 which provides opportunities to engage further with our audiences and with new prospects.

The post-holder will be responsible for raising grant income from charitable trusts, foundations and institutions to support the Brooke’s international work. The role will also manage the research strategy for the major relationship team, directly line managing the team’s researcher.

Senior Direct Marketing Officer - Standard Value & In Memorium

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Direct Marketing Team at the Brooke. You will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing and delivering strategies for specific audiences with a strong focus on getting results.

We are looking for a strong Direct Marketer with demonstrable experience of managing successful acquisition & welcome programmes. Experience of using various media including digital to communicate with individuals is a must.
