Working for the Brooke
Brooke employees and supporters are keenly motivated by our unique approach to addressing a crucial international cause. We successfully combine international development with practical animal welfare, to provide a long-lasting and sustainable impact on the communities we support.
We are always looking for talented and passionate individuals to join us in our London office.
Our goal is to increase the number of working animals we reach every year to 2 million suffering horses, donkeys and mules in the most need in the developing world by 2016.
Whether you are working directly with our Country Programmes or supporting others to do so, you will be contributing to this goal to make a real difference.
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Brooke as we launch our new Directorate of Planning & Performance to support a new 5 year global organisational strategy. This is initially an interim post but there will be an option for the role to become permanent next year. The key focus will be to establish a Programme Management Office (PMO) function under the guidance of the Director of Planning and Performance and provide a centre of project management expertise.
Following a review of our operating model, we have concluded that in order to continue the much needed growth and deliver on these headline goals, we are both expanding our Strategic Leadership Team and developing Regional Hubs internationally to be responsible for implementing our programmes and building capacity at local level. We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to the new role of Director of Animal Welfare and Sustainability. Responsible for providing animal welfare and veterinary expertise, building capacity and supporting research, the Director of Animal Welfare and Sustainability will provide dynamic and creative leadership developing long term solutions in service provision, community development and advocacy within this newly defined directorate. You will inspire and motivate the immediate team, the wider Brooke organisation and external stakeholders in support of our mission.
