Free Will service
You can use our free Will service to write or update a simple Will for free, so you can support the people and causes you care about.
Writing a Will is an easy way to make sure your wishes are clear and that the people and causes your care about are supported in the future. It can help give you peace of mind – letting you decide what happens to your money, property and possessions.
If you are considering writing or updating your Will, as a valued supporter, you can do so at no cost with our free Will service.
Why include a gift in your Will?
By including a gift in your Will to Brooke, your compassion for vulnerable working animals can live on, supporting them for generations to come.
Gifts in Wills fund over half of our work, that’s the equivalent of every one in two working animals. Thanks to people like you who choose to leave a legacy, this year we reached over 1.8 million horses, donkeys and mules through our health, welfare and training programmes.
“It’s a great service! I didn’t know where to start, so having the Free Will Service allowed the process to be easy. Since I last updated my Will, I’d acquired a few more animals and wished to add them into my Will too. I found the whole process really user friendly.”
We offer three simple ways to write or update your Will: online, over the phone, or face-to-face. Each option is straightforward and delivered by our trusted partners.
1. Write or update your Will with a local solicitor
We’ve partnered with the National Free Wills Network so you can write or update a simple Will with a trusted solicitor in your area.
They work with over 800 solicitors across the UK. Once you register, they’ll send you a ‘Will pack’ within 10 days, including a list of participating solicitors near you. You can then choose a solicitor and book an appointment, and they will help you write your Will.
2. Write your Will online
We've teamed up with Farewill to give you the chance to write a simple Will online. It's available for people in England and Wales and every Will is checked by an expert to make sure it meets your needs. It can take around 30 minutes. You'll need a printer, or Farewill can send you a printed copy.
3. Write your Will over the telephone
If you’d prefer not to write a Will online or if your Will is more detailed you can book a free call-back with Farewill. Their experts will help you write your Will over the phone for free.
Tell Farewill you’re using the free Will service with Brooke. You’ll have a one-to-one conversation with an expert to make sure your Will reflects your wishes. It will be posted to you within 10 days for you to sign and to have witnessed. This service is free to anyone living in the UK, including those in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please let Farewill know at least 24 hours in advance. Without this notice, a cancellation fee of £20 may be charged. This helps Farewill offer the appointment to another supporter.
Please note: If you complete the form your details will be passed to the National Free Wills Network. To find out how they use your data, please read their privacy policy.
