London Marathon application

Brooke has limited Virgin Money London Marathon places, so we offer places on an application basis and not first-come, first-served. Please give us as much detail as possible about how you will raise the £2,000 (excluding Gift Aid) as we need runners to be committed, capable and confident in their ability to raise £2,000 and beyond.

Applications are being assessed on a regular basis so we will let you know shortly if you have a place. Please note that applications for the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon will close on Friday 31 January 2020, or sooner if the team is filled before then. If you're successful, we ask that you commit to raise a minimum of £2,000 (excluding Gift Aid) for Brooke, as well as pay a non-refundable £50 entry fee. The money you raise will help us work towards our vision of a world in which working horses, donkeys and mules are free from suffering. These animals support the lives of around 600 million people (8% of the world's population) in some of the world's poorest places.

How we contact you

Your support is important to us and we would like to keep you updated about Brooke news, events, activities (including fundraising and appeals) and how you can support us.

We will send you information by post that we believe you will be interested hearing more about.

Are you also happy for Brooke to contact you in the following ways for these purposes:

You can update the ways in which we contact you or inform us that you no longer wish to hear from Brooke at any time. Please call us on 020 7470 9393, email us at [email protected] or write to us at Brooke, 5th Floor, Friars Bridge Court, 41-45 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NZ.

Brooke will use the relevant personal data you provide in order to process your request.

Your contact details will be used by Brooke to communicate with you in the ways you have indicated above.

We may analyse your data and add publicly available information to create a profile of your interests and preferences. Please see our privacy statement for further information about how we will use your personal data. You can also contact us for a copy (details above). Brooke is registered as a data controller with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office under registration no Z7582543.

I understand that if my application is successful, I must pay the registration fee of £50 and pledge to raise a minimum of £2,000 for Brooke. This will be broken down into three deadlines: £800 to be raised by the end of January 2020, £1,500 by the end of March 2020 and £2,000 six weeks after the marathon (all amounts exclude Gift Aid). If these deadlines are not met, or my fundraising plans are not communicated to Brooke, I am at risk of losing my London Marathon charity place.
