Practical research
Communicating the results of the Brooke’s research on the welfare of working horses, donkeys and mules to wider scientific, veterinary and public audiences.
Practical Research
The Brooke uses a range of methods and approaches to answer field-based questions. In particular we encourage participatory methodologies with the equine-owning communities.
By involving owners in carrying out research, we hope to incorporate existing knowledge into research projects which will lead to research findings being easier to implement by the people using them.
We endeavour to ensure our research is practically applicable in the field and where appropriate is published in peer-reviewed journals. Our research publications and outputs are listed on our research portfolio page.
Our Research section includes abstracts, blogs and reports on previous events and publications.
