The Brooke - Running events

The Brooke has a limited number of guaranteed places for the Edinburgh Marathon and Hairy Haggis team relay on May 23rd.

With spring around the corner, now is the perfect time to kick start your fitness plan for the new year © Brooke

Rated the 'fastest marathon in the UK', this is a great course for those looking for a good time or personal best. And if the Marathon is too much, why not team up with some friends and take part in the Hairy Haggis Team Relay instead? At legs ranging from 4.7 to 8.1 miles each, and the age of entry reduced to 15 for some legs, this is great fun for all!

To take part you just need to pay a registration fee of £30 and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship. Places are limited, so don’t delay and sign up today!

Fun Runs and 5k

• 2.5km Newham London Family Fun Run, Stratford Park : 7th March
Children aged 5 and upwards can take part meaning that families can run together. Places are limited and the registration deadline is 14th Feb.

• 5km Do It For Charity Super Hero Run, Heaton Park, Manchester : 26th September

10k

• 10km Newham London Run, Stratford Park : 7th March
Be part of the first run in the Olympic Park and soak up the delights of Stratford Park, West Ham Park, The Greenway and Stratford town centre whilst you’re at it. The registration deadline is 14th Feb.

• 10km Bupa Great Manchester Run, Manchester City Centre : 16th May
With 36,000 people taking part this popular event is one of Britain’s premier 10k’s. The registration deadline is 1st Feb.

• ASICS British 10k London Run : 11th July
Take part in this wonderful road race, now in its 10th year, which will see you running past the historic and renowned sights of Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The London Eye, Trafalgar Square, and many more.

10 Miles and Half Marathons

• Bupa Great South Run, Southsea, Portsmouth : 24th October
Sign up today for a Brooke guaranteed place in Europe’s leading 10 mile road race. With a fast, flat course taking you past Britain’s naval heritage, this is not to be missed!

This run starts and finishes at Exeter Arena, Athletics Stadium and follows a 2 lap course taking in Exeter City Centre.
