Amro HassanAmro Hassan

Amro graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University 1999 and joined the Brooke in April 2001. He is glad to have been involved with Welfare Assessments from the beginning and recognises how useful the Welfare Assessment is as a tool to prioritize welfare issues from the animal’s point of view. He feels that working as part of the Welfare Assessment team has helped further his skills in planning, organizing and socializing with other people.


Abdel FatahAbdel Fatah

Abdel Fatah qualified as a vet in 1999 and started working for Brooke in December of that year. He obtained a diploma in equine surgery in 2005. He feels that Welfare Assessment has given him a good opportunity to learn more about animal psychology: “I have entered the animals’ mind and learnt more about how they see us (people)” He enjoys the fact that working in Welfare Assessment gives him the opportunity to combine his love of working with equines with travel and meeting new people.   


Ahmed AbdouAhmed Abdou

Ahmed Abdou joined the Brooke in July 2005 having qualified as a vet in 2002. He enjoys being part of the Welfare Assessment team as he feels that this is the first step in helping working animals as it identifies the major welfare issues which then enables appropriate interventions to be developed. Being part of the team has helped him gain a lot of experience in animal handling and improved his planning skills.


Mohammed HammadMohammed Hammad

Mohammed Hammad graduated from Assiut university in upper Egypt in 1998 and joined Brooke in 2000. He became a member of the Welfare Assessment team in 2003. He finds the job of Welfare Assessor interesting as it gives him lots of contact with the equines and helps him in understanding their needs. He also enjoys the opportunities being part of the team gives him to travel to other countries and meet new people.
