Naresh comes from Uttarakand in the foot hills of the Himalayas. He obtained his Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2000 and joined Brooke as a Veterinary Officer and District Manager in 2004, having previously worked on a stud farm. He was trained in Welfare Assessment in 2007 and has learnt a great deal from being part of the team, including learning to think from the animals’ perspective and improving his handling skills.

Prakash joined Brooke in 2007 as a Welfare assessor. Prior to this he obtained an MSc in 2001 and subsequently worked with government agencies, local and international NGOs. He has 7 years of research experience in wildlife, innovative community health programmes, livelihoods and policy making. Prakash feels that working as a welfare assessor has given him an opportunity to research in depth applied animal welfare and ethical issues related to working equines. He feels this job is: "a heavenly platform for equine lovers."
