The American Friends of the Brooke is an independent US non-profit organization that shares the aims and objectives of the Brooke. The American Friends are very grateful to the Brooke for hosting this page and for promoting the work of the American Friends to Americans worldwide. Donations to the American Friends from American taxpayers in the USA, UK, or anywhere in the world are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by US law.

The Brooke is enormously encouraged by the interest, kindness and generosity of its American friends, and all that they are doing in the USA and elsewhere, to raise awareness of the work of the Brooke and its need for funds to continue and expand the programmes for horses, donkeys and mules worldwide.

We invite you to join the growing number of Americans who have learned of the work of the Brooke, and are inspired to support efforts to alleviate the pain and suffering of working animals throughout the world. As an American donor and an advocate, you can support the goal of improving the lives of two million working donkeys, mules and horses that are in the greatest need of support by 2016, and the many millions of people who depend on them.

The Brooke's approach

Brooke mobile vet teams travel to communities to provide free veterinary treatment where it is needed most.
The Brooke trains owners and other local people how to provide the most effective care for their animals.
The Brooke undertakes groundbreaking, practical research in the field to reveal the best solutions for reducing animal suffering.

The Brooke finds that many of our friends and supporters are also interested to know that the Brooke’s focus on helping working animals also helps the poor people who depend on these animals for their livelihood. When the animals are well and prosper, so do their owners, families and communities.

As a contributor, your generous gift to the American Friends can do so much and is tax deductible. Every dollar counts – even small amounts of money go a long way in the developing countries where the Brooke works, and really can make a difference.
