Charlotte Dujardin launches exclusive auction

World ranked number one, Charlotte Dujardin, the double Olympic gold medallist, has given Brooke some of her most cherished possessions from her competition career, including items worn at the London 2012 Olympics, for an exclusive auction which hopes to raise much needed funds to help hard working horses, donkeys and mules around the world.

The 13 auction lots, used in competitions throughout her outstanding career in dressage, launches ahead of Olympia, the London International Horse Show, on 15 December where she is competing with Uthopia. The items Charlotte has given include a riding hat and boots used in the London 2012 Olympics, signed numnahs as worn by her horse Valegro, as well as a pair of his horseshoes.

The money raised from the auction will go towards helping almost two million hard working horses, donkeys and mules living in some of the world’s poorest communities, who help their owners earn a living and support their families. Charlotte, who visited Brooke’s programme work in India in October 2015, saw the struggles these working equines face first hand.

"Becoming a global ambassador for the Brooke has been one of the greatest things I have ever done. The trip to India really highlighted what a difference the Brooke makes to the lives of working horses and donkeys and I hope this auction raises some much-needed funds to continue their work. Happy bidding and merry Christmas.”
