Employees - Giving through PAYE is easier than you think
Making a PAYE donation through your salary is simple to organise - just ask your Payroll department for the relevent forms. If your company does not yet operate the Payroll Giving scheme, you can talk to your payroll department to arrange a scheme that allows you to donate through your salary - details of how your employer can simply set up the scheme are below.
Empolyers - Setting up PAYE is easier than you think
1. All you need to do is register with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) approved by the Inland Revenue. See the Inland Revenue website for a detailed listing http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/payrollgiving/
2. Once you are registered, all you need to do is send on payroll giving forms you receive from your employees to your PGA and they will do the rest. The PGA is responsible for adding the tax onto a donor's gift and transferring the total sum to the donor's nominated charity.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic team will be able to assist your organisation set up and promote the scheme to your employees - contact Emily Webb at the Brooke directly on 020 7968 0815 or emily@thebrooke.org
