Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Challenge

Fancy taking part in a physical challenge whilst enjoying some of the finest limestone scenery that Britain has to offer, and raising vital funds for the Brooke’s work? Then why not join us and take part in our sponsored Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Challenge!

The Three Peaks of Yorkshire Challenge is regarded as one of the UK’s Classic Walks – 26 miles long in total and the area is renowned for its beautiful scenery, walks, waterfalls and caves. The planned weekend will involve walking the three peaks over two days – Pen-y-Ghent (694m) and Ingleborough (723m) on the first day, and Whernside (736m) on the second day.

Format of the weekend:

Friday: Arrive at accommodation post 4pm for dinner at ~8pm
Saturday: Cooked breakfast followed by early morning start to complete two of the peaks. Packed lunches provided. Return late afternoon for tea and shower before an evening meal at the local pub.
Sunday: Cooked breakfast followed by an early morning start to complete the last of the three peaks. Return lunchtime (~12-1pm) for journeys home.

To take part all you need is enthusiasm, a reasonable level of fitness and a commitment to support the Brooke. Participants will be asked to pay a registration fee of £25 and pledge to raise a minimum of £125 in sponsorship.

The weekend includes accommodation at ‘The Old School Bunkhouse’ near Ingleton, two professional walking guides, and all food except for a meal on Saturday night at a local pub ‘The Old Hill Inn’. It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends, be active and do something for a fantastic cause so sign up today and get your family and friends involved too!
